7-10 Business Day Leadtime COATING SHIPPING INSTRUCTIONS
- ACTIVSTONE coatings are application specific, and can be applied to a variety of substrates - including various alloys of steels, stainless steel, aluminum, brass and some non-metallic substrates.
WARRANTY : MATERIALS & WORKMANSHIP
- Weld Dynamix provides a 1-year warranty against defects in materials or workmanship - granted for all coatings and products that are not placed into service - and will be repaired (re-coated) at no cost - at the discretion of Weld Dynamix.
- Weld Dynamix does not offer a warranty for any period after placement into service, due to the nature of harsh environments (extreme temperatures, impact and abrasion).
TESTING & SAMPLES
Weld Dynamix internal testing to ensure successful applications (thermal, adhesion, abrasion, corrosion, weld spatter resistance, conductivity)
SPECIFICATIONS: ACTIVSTONE B-Series
- Type: Advanced thin-film amorphous carbon coating. vacuum-deposited nanocomposite that mimics diamond (hardness) and graphite (lubricity) properties.
- Primary Purpose: Extreme wear resistance, resistant to spatter adhesion.
- Substrates: All metals (steel, stainless steel, aluminum), complex geometries (details, pins & hardware), and applications requiring ultra thin coating.
- Color: Dark gray to near-black
-
Durability & Resistance:
- Hardness range: Typically 1700–4500 HV (Vickers), 2000–3800 HV range (10x+ harder than uncoated steel
- Wear/abrasion/scratch resistance: Reduces wear by 5–10x compared to uncoated or standard finishes; excellent against galling and fretting.
- Thermal: 300°C (570°F) max working temp
- Very low coefficient of friction
- High corrosion resistance
-
Application Details:
- Thin film thickness: Usually 0.1–5 µm (microns)
- Vacuum chamber application
- Environmentally friendly: No heavy solvents; dry process.
- Special Variants/Notes:
- Limitation: New Parts Only: Pre-installed parts cannot be coated
- Limitations: Size: max length 900mm / typical widths 250mm / contact Weld Dynamix for details
